To paint with honesty and a pure conscience is very difficult.
Tatiana does this with dazzling clarity and in detail that you
will search masters, such as Willem Kalf and William Harnett,  to find.
But it is not just a matter of her astounding technique, it is the fact that Photo Realism has been transformed. In her hands the painting is not a reproduction of a photograph but a window into another world. The canvas plane is now a window into a world of time, of family, of history, and of love. A place where real objects become symbols in paintings.

There is a transmutation that takes place from the viewing of a vase of flowers and the painting of said vase. It is not just a matter of painting what you see but interpreting what you see into a painting. This is technique learned through years of careful study but as I said before this is not merely a matter of technique, reproduction,  alone.
Painting being a medium of language, a way of speaking your thoughts through symbols and images, must incorporate interpretation.
In order for a painting to be art an artist must use imagery to convey meaning, thoughts, intention. Without this intent what you have is a rendering and something more in line with decoration.

Integrity in art also involves the choice of materials. How long will the painting last in the finished condition is a question asked of ones self.
